TAKE OFF IN COMFORT WITH KELLY BROOK

Hey, Kelly. You look awfully comfortable in first class comfort.

Can Skechers Wide Fit shoes upgrade you into first class, pronto? OK, perhaps it’s a little aspirational – but totally worth a try. It worked for Kelly Brook in her latest spot, where she was swiftly saved from a hyperactive kid (no way that’s a lap baby!) and an ominous set of knitting needles.

bep_7018Inspired by our hugely successful men’s spot with Howie Long, Skechers decided to go mile high for the gals this round as a fun way to showcase our insanely comfortable Wide Fit collection (it’s part of Skechers’ new signature fit system – check out our three fits for gals below). Take it from us – these styles are really, really amazing. You’ve got the roomy fit, the memory foam cushioning, everything – but also the cute styling. Plus they’re easy to slip on and off, so are totally airline-friendly for all of those lovely TSA checkpoints. But we digress. They’re worth grabbing a pair, or three.

Kelly is about as fun as she is gorgeous, by the way. On her downtime, we thought we’d ask her what her favorite pair of Skechers are, and why she’s such a huge fan. Watch her dish here:

Take a look at the sweet style Kelly’s wearing in her Wide Fit commercial (it’s Flex Appeal 2.0 – New Image) and tell us: Would you rather strut around in first class comfort or subject your heels to coach all day long? You be the judge.

Skechers’ new Signature Fit System includes styles in three different widths for women: Classic Fit (B width), Relaxed Fit from Skechers (B/C width) and Skechers Wide Fit (D width).

SKECHERS WORK PROTECTS ON THE JOB

work

Did you know that Skechers offers an entire collection of utility and safety footwear designed to protect on the job?  In fact, Skechers has the #1 WORK brand in the United States. We designed the Skechers WORK collection for men and women working in kitchens, hospitals, warehouses, janitorial, construction and more. Every style includes features that protect against one or more dangers including slippery surfaces, impact, water and electrical hazards—each independently tested and certified to rigorous industry standards.

Our slip-resistant outsoles follow the ASTM F1677-2005 Mark II testing standard on clean Red Quarry tile and meet or exceed a result of 0.40 under wet or oily conditions. Styles that offer Electrical Hazard protection meet ASTM F2413-20011 EH requirements and are constructed to resist disruptive discharge to the ground under 18 kV 60Hz AC for one minute with no current flow in excess of one milliampere under dry conditions. Electro-static Dissipative styles are designed to reduce the accumulation of excess static electricity by conducting body charge to the ground following the ASTM F2892 standard.

Skechers WORK Safety Toe footwear offers a variety of impact protection options in the toe cap all meeting or exceeding the ASTM F2413-2011, I/75 C/75 standards for impact and compression.  Steel Safety Toe styles feature a more traditional hard steel protective cap over the toe area.  Lightweight Safety Toe styles feature a toe cap protected by an alloy material created with ultra-lightweight, durable and high-grade materials for superior strength and comfort. Lastly Composite Safety Toe series footwear delivers the same level of protection and comfort using a non-metallic composite material. Select styles also include Waterproof protection designed to keep feet dry for at least eight hours in water or wet conditions tested with the SATRA TM77 method utilizing membrane and seam-sealed construction.

And best of all many styles in the collection are special versions of trendy Skechers profiles designed with a Relaxed Fit to give extra space in the toe area plus a soft Skechers Memory Foam insole for enhanced comfort when you must be on your feet all day. These shoes and boots look great, feel amazing, and help keep you safe throughout your shift.

Take a look at a few styles from the collection above—all three protect against slippery surfaces and electrical dangers. For women who want a traditional low profile sneaker the Relaxed Fit: Eldred SR on the left is a perfect option. Or for those who prefer an easy-on, easy-off design there’s the Relaxed Fit: Cozard SR seen center. And for men, the Relaxed Fit: Flex Advantage SR to the right is a popular traditional sneaker that that gets the job done. Or browse the entire collection at skechers.com to see more options including rugged safety toe boots.

We want you to understand how Skechers WORK slip-resistant footwear can positively impact on your day on the job so we enlisted the great Kelly Brook to help convey the story in the commercial below. Check it out and if you’ve worn WORK footwear on your job, tell us about it in the comments!

KELLY BROOK TAKES A WALK IN THE PARK

British model and actress Kelly Brook spent a day in LA’s Echo Park filming her new commercial for Skechers Relaxed Fit and Modern Comfort footwear.  Kelly’s costars for the fun shoot on this gorgeous sunny day were three professional dog actors.  The trio of canines were total pros—they pulled Kelly through the park to the point where it was hard to tell who was walking whom!  Luckily she felt great running through the park during the day-long shoot thanks to her Relaxed Fit shoes with comfortable Skechers Memory Foam insoles.

Check out the behind-the-scenes sneak peek video below to see Kelly explain:

I always have Skechers sneakers with me wherever I go and I pretty much live in them when I’m at home. I work out in them or I wear little cut off jean shorts with them. They’re bright and colourful and they look good with anything really. If you meet a friend for coffee and decide after that you want to go for a nice walk in the park or a hike, then you’re ready to go in Skechers sneakers.

Watch for Kelly Brook’s new commercial premiering in the months ahead.  Check back for more details on the #KellyLovesSkechers campaign!

This Sunday’s SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk broke a new donation record: raising more than $1.1 million for kids with special needs and education! Rallied by celebs like Ellen K, Brooke Burke-Charvet and Tommy Lasorda, the event drew a crowd of 11,000 to the Manhattan Beach Pier to walk for our kids.

Over the years, the Walk’s impact has been huge: in the six years since it started in 2009, it’s raised more than $4 million – becoming So Cal’s biggest charity event for these children.

And it’s not just So Cal: the Nickelodeon-sponsored event is having a national and viral impact, with the SKECHERS Foundation’s plans to donate $250,000 in scholarships to students across the country – plus the walk’s first-ever #P2PSteelSports Selfie Challenge with donor Steel Sports, which raised an extra $25,000 for the cause.

Other celebs who attended the walk include Kelly Brook, X-Factor‘s Sweet Suspense, Sean Ryan Fox, Ella Anderson, Riele Downs, Brittany Underwood, Hayden Byerly, Ashely Argota, Gavin Macintosh, Merit Leighton, August Maturo, Rowan Blanchard, Terrell Ransom Jr., Marlowe Peyton, Jessi Malay, Scheana Shay, Megan Goodman and Ali Levine.

Funds go to The Friendship Circle organization for children with special needs, and to education foundations in support of schools. Learn more at skechersfriendshipwalk.com or on Facebook.
