As we reach our latest BOBS donation milestone (approximately 14 million pairs!) we’re looking back on all the incredible memories we’ve made with kids through our events… and this summer was one of our best. We traveled across the United States and Canada with tens of thousands of new shoes in tow, and got to enjoy lots of young smiles and great moments along the way. Here are a few of the many BOBS donation events we’ve loved participating in this season! You can also help make a difference and shop for BOBS shoes, which not only supports kids in need, but also helps save animals’ lives.
BOBS took part in an amazing three-day event at Reno Rodeo, a popular regional sporting event that supports the Reno/Sparks economy. Skechers donated 26,000 pairs of BOBS to children in need at the event, which featured a special visit with Miss Reno Rodeo 2016 and decorating stations for kids to personalize their new shoes!
It was an amazing two days: together with our partner DSW, we visited Trevitt and Highland Elementary Schools to give more than 30,000 pairs of BOBS shoes to local Columbus students throughout the district. Visits with the Columbus Clippers mascots and shoe decorating stations added to the fun!
BOBS partnered with Shoes.com to donate over 500 pairs of BOBS shoes to local Strathcona children. The students decorated their new BOBS and played baseball and soccer, enjoyed arts and craft stations, met the BC Lions Cheerleaders and Vancouver Whitecaps mascot, and more!
This was Skechers’ and Fred Meyer’s second year of teaming up for Spokane’s kids! Over 600 pairs of BOBS were donated to children in need throughout the city. Club attendees included the local Boys & Girls Club, the Salvation Army, and Big Brothers Big Sisters programs.
BOBS and Quarks donated over 500 pairs of BOBS from Skechers shoes to children at Regina elementary schools. The kids enjoyed a great day of outdoor games, face painting, plus arts and crafts!
Skechers gave over 1,500 pairs of BOBS to children fighting cancer at Sunrise Day Camps in Long Island, Pearl River and Staten Island as well as their Horizon Day Camp in Baltimore. Skechers retail stores also recently raised $207,413 for the organization’s annual Sunrise Walk.
