BLOG TAKEOVER: MISS MINUS SIZED STYLES UP SUMMER

Warm weather is quickly approaching… so we asked popular blogger Miss Minus Sized for a few unique ways to style her favorite Skechers this season.

I’m looking forward to trading my well used and abused winter boots for effortless casual pairs that can be chic, functional AND versatile. That’s a lot to ask of a pair of shoes, you say? Read on to see why, for these three particular styles, it isn’t. 🙂

Look 1: Summer Casual

This style will be your go-to entry to chic city this summer. I’ve literally been daydreaming of a day in the near future when I can wear this fun look on a sunny Sunday coffee run or an afternoon of pool-side lounging. These comfortable Criss-Crossover sandals (at select Skechers stores) come in the most versatile neutral camel shade, and are the perfect accessory to balance out the fun colors and prints in this breezy blouse + distressed shorties combo! Or pair them with cool, breezy beach pants perfect for soaking up the summer rays.

Look 2: Flirty Florals

Bohemian romance is a big trend this year, and a breezy floral dress like this one is the perfect gateway into it! Boho details like tassels, fringe and vintage jewelry set the perfect stage for the carefree vibe of Golden Hour sandals. Throw in a braid or two and a nice roomy tote, and we’re all set for the farmer’s market, brunch or pretty much anything that requires getting some of that Vitamin D. 🙂

Look 3: Laid-Back Layers

Whether you identify yourself as sporty or not, let’s admit it… comfortable sneakers are a necessity. I used to be the kind who reserves her sneakers for gym trips, working out and such, but consider me reformed! Now, if you happen to run into me, nine times out of ten, I’m in a pair of cute but comfy sneakers. These grey B’Weavers are such a great update to my basic sneaker line-up. The color works across all seasons and just like the other neutrals, seems to go with everything!

GET MONOCHROMATIC WITH NORMCORE FEATURING D’LITES

Sometimes you just want to be comfortable without the flash and effort that goes into dressing to impress. Now those everyday anti-trend casual basics of the nineties has evolved into a style unto itself and two decades later that blank canvas look has become the trend known as normcore. Built on the foundation of blending in with unpretentious and average-looking style—it’s a rejection of the loud and flashy look-at-me culture driving our social media reality-tv obsessed world. Finally, it’s hot to be comfortable and desirable to be effortlessly basic. As Skechers was born in the nineties, we still offer designs inspired by the looks of that era that will flawlessly pair to your everyday normcore style.

Perfect for hanging out with friends on the weekend or a night out in the city feeling cool and comfortable, Skechers D’Lites have been a mainstay in the collection for more than decade.  Inspired by the big unisex Skechers Sport sneakers born in the nineties, every pair has been updated with a soft Skechers Memory Foam insole that delivers total comfort.  Available in whites and blacks, these styles pair perfectly with denim and a tee or go with the overalls and dress it down even more. Who cares so why not?   Seen in the photos:   Biggest Fan in black/white and Fresh Start in black.

As summer approaches and the days get hotter, the sunshine practically demands you wear sandals. With platform outsoles that deliver an incredible amount of cushioning, the Cali Cloud9 and Skechers Burst—Introspect sandals will feel great heading to an outdoor concert or festival, browsing at the record store, or just lounging around. Available in basic blacks and whites, these sandals will match up with worn jean shorts and the first plain tee you grab in your drawer.

Normcore means different things to everyone so tell us your thoughts on today’s top trend in the comments.  We also want to see how you pair Skechers to create the perfect look.  Show us your favorites on Instragram with #skechersstyle and #normcore today!
