Retired New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera, arguably the greatest relief pitcher in baseball history, has signed on with SKECHERS to join the team of sports icons representing our men’s Relaxed Fit footwear line. Rivera will star in a television commercial set to begin airing in Spring 2015—just in time for next year’s baseball season!
We asked Rivera how Relaxed Fit ties in with his storied career. He told us: “After 19 seasons on the mound, I’m the one that needs relief these days and comfortable Relaxed Fit shoes get the job done. I’m thrilled to be working with SKECHERS on the same team as the impressive roster of sports legends that have appeared in this ongoing campaign.”
Nicknamed “Sandman,” Rivera played his entire Major League Baseball career with the New York Yankees including 17 seasons as the team’s closer. A 13-time All-Star and five-time World Series champion, he holds all-time MLB records for saves (652) and games finished (952). Known for his consistency, he saved at least 25 games for a record 15 consecutive seasons and posted an ERA under 2.00 in 11 seasons. After an injury sidelined him for most of 2012, Rivera was named at age 43 as the American League’s 2013 Comeback Player of the Year—his final season before retirement.

British-born model, actress and television presenter Kelly Brook has signed on to appear in marketing and social media campaigns for SKECHERS women’s footwear collections through 2015. She will be the first SKECHERS celebrity featured globally who came to fame outside the United States—a testament to the power of the SKECHERS brand around the world.
Brook began modeling at age 16 and soon become a fixture on magazine covers as one of the UK’s top pin-up and swimsuit models where she was named “Sexiest Woman in the World” by FHM. A favorite paparazzi subject, Brook transcended the editorial pages as a presenter or judge on numerous television series and her acting roles have grown from multi-episode arcs on popular shows like Smallville to her first staring TV role in the soon-to-premiere NBC comedy series One Big Happy.
After signing her deal, Brook commented: “It doesn’t get any bigger than SKECHERS when it comes to lifestyle footwear so I’m thrilled to be working with this amazing brand. SKECHERS has brilliantly comfortable shoes in so many colors and looks. I love it and can’t wait to get started with this campaign!”

Big news for SKECHERS! Demi Lovato, multi-platinum selling recording artist and actress, has signed on to represent SKECHERS, and will appear in global marketing and social media campaigns through 2016. Lovato, known for hit singles, “Give Your Heart a Break”, “Heart Attack” and “Neon Lights”, will make her first official appearance in a new SKECHERS television commercial and accompanying print campaign launching later this year.
Demi had this to say about signing on with the SKECHERS team, “My generation grew up with SKECHERS, and now with all of their cool styles and fun colors I’m excited to help introduce the collection to a new generation by sharing this incredible brand’s campaign with my Lovatics!”

We recently partnered with Shoe Carnival and K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers to donate new shoes to students in need across Puerto Rico and Lubbock, Texas. More than 13,000 pairs of BOBS from Skechers were distributed at a series of special end of school year events. That makes over 57,000 shoes donated to date with Shoe Carnival alone and overall more than eight million pairs since BOBS launched in 2011. Everywhere we went, the kids were excited and had a chance to decorate and personalize their new shoes. These local events truly exemplify the power of the BOBS movement and illustrate the power we have to create positive impact on the world around us. We’re thrilled to announce that seven-time PGA Tour champion Matt Kuchar—currently ranked 5th in the world—will be the first brand ambassador and face of the Skechers GOgolf line. The multi-year partnership will feature Kuchar in a global Skechers GOgolf advertising campaign and the development of a namesake signature shoe line for the Skechers Performance Division.
Matt has been wearing Skechers GOgolf at PGA Tour events and had this to say about his footwear:

After bursting on to the golf scene with his trademark smile at the 1998 Masters as the reigning U.S. Amateur champion, he has claimed seven titles on the PGA Tour and is a perennial fixture atop tournament leaderboards. His 2013 season was a banner year, as he earned two PGA Tour titles and helped the U.S. squad win the Presidents Cup.
